Managed dAPIs Launched this Week on the API3 Market

We are excited to share with you that this week we officially launched Managed dAPIs on the API3 Market.

For the past three years we have been building towards this achievement. API3 was founded with a mission of reengineering push oracles around first-party oracle architecture. Our innovative design eliminates rent-seeking middlemen, providing a more secure and efficient way to bring market data on-chain directly from the source of the data. This “straight from the source” design not only makes first-party oracles significantly more secure than their third-party counterparts, but also gives developers verifiable data source transparency over the data feeds used to secure their protocol TVL.

Our next generation push oracle solution gives dApps a better solution for interacting with traditional Web APIs. Managed dAPIs are designed to be easy to access and implement on the API3 Market, where developers on 11 networks can choose from various dAPI specifications based on their specific requirements.

Join us in celebrating this achievement by tweeting about our launch, sharing the product overview, joining our product intro event, or diving into our getting started materials.

Introducing Phase 2: Managed dAPIs

Introducing Phase 2 — Managed dAPIs
We are excited to announce the launch of managed dAPIs on the API3 Market

Managed dAPIs are multi-source, decentralized data feeds (dAPIs) available as a managed oracle service, providing developers with high-quality reference data served on-chain by first-party oracles.

Key features and benefits of Managed dAPIs:

  • Data source transparency: With cryptographically signed data verifiable on-chain, dAPIs provide end-to-end transparency, with data served by highly reputable API providers.
  • Native-chain aggregation: Bridges are only needed when smart contracts cannot connect directly to the source of the data. dAPIs eliminate the need for bridges along with their associated risks, further enhancing the security of the data being served on-chain.
  • Multi-source aggregation: Aggregated, multi-source data feeds are more reliable sources of data by mitigating downtime and improving the integrity of data by eliminating outliers.
  • DAO-governed: Decentralized governance removes centralized control over the Web3 data economy and introduces on-chain transparency into how the DeFi oracles are managed.

Supporting the DeFi Ecosystem Across EVM-Compatible Chains

Managed dAPIs are supported across the following 11 networks with data feed contracts adapted to the specific duration limits of each chain: Arbitrum One, Avalanche, BNB, Ethereum, Fantom, Gnosis Chain, Moonbeam, Moonriver, Optimism, Polygon, and Polygon zkEVM. This multi-chain support extends the reach of real world data to DeFi projects, providing more opportunities for developers and blockchain networks to leverage the power of decentralized data feeds.

Join Us for a Live Introduction

Join the API3 team this Friday, August 18 at 3pm UTC for a live product introduction to our decentralized price feeds, known as managed dAPIs. We will give a live demo showcasing how projects can seamlessly integrate our data feeds and also delve into their significance for the DeFi landscape.

Get Started Using Managed dAPIs

Developers interacting with off-chain data will find Managed dAPIs to be a simple and scalable solution. By serving multi-source data feeds through first-party oracles on-chain, this innovative solution aligns with the core principles of blockchain technology and sets a new benchmark for data source transparency.
